Crazy story about a 17year old African American boy walking down the street in a gated community and gets shots by the neighborhood watch because he looks "suspicious".

  1. I have read this story and, yes, it is crazy. What's even crazier is that the college student who killed him has not (and may not) been charged. Supposedly, he says he shot in self-defense, but I do not understand how you can shoot someone in self-defense when you were driving down the street in your car and were even told by police not to get out (even though calling the police was not necessary). But, he took matters into his own hand and now the only witness to the murder is the college student himself. But, the cops should be asking why he did not follow their orders, which were to not get out of the car and to not follow the "suspicious" person in his car.

  2. That is so sad. I don't understand how a person would shoot someone because they though the person was "suspicious". What's even more disheartening is that Zimmerman can walk free because his criminal record was free and he studies criminal justice. I don't see how that makes any difference in the investigation. After being told not to follow the young man, he did so anyway in my opinion in hopes of starting an altercation. I am with the parents when they said that they want to see Zimmerman go to jail. This was not an act of self-defense rather an act of racism.

  3. Indeed, this is an act of racism on George Zimmerman's part and on the part of the local officials at this point. He is also walking free because his dad is a former judge and his mom was a clerk. And, now that other reports have been released, investigators are even saying that the voice her on the tape is not that of George Zimmerman, but yet, he is still free.

I also find it sad that people are now trying to make Trayvon out to be a criminal by releasing photos of him not looking like the innocent child that his family says he was. However, regardless, this has nothing to do with Zimmerman shooting him.
